There's nothing like hosting a wine tasting event at the Venetian. That's exactly what our friends at TabaPay did while they were in town. The Venetian boasts Italian-inspired grandeur and a unique experience with every step. Wine tasting events are a great way to share your passion for wine while networking and building your connections. They are a fun and educational experience that allows you to both foster team relationships and connect with your customers.
The art of wine tasting is the process of using your senses to evaluate the wine's color, clarity, aromas and overall characteristics with every delicious sip. There are so many intricate layers when it comes to wine and so much to appreciate.
First, we experience wine by sight. The visual aspect gives us initial clairty on its age and the grape variety used. Second, swirl the wine in your glass. This allows the aromas to be released. Third, smell your wine. "Nosing" the wine is when you inhale slowly and deeply through your nose. It allows you to connect to the different notes in the wine and helps you identify the compounds present in the grapes. Fourth, taste the wine! Everyone's favorite part. Take a small sip at first and let it linger. This step allows you to notice the sweetness, structure, body and flavor. Remember to enjoy the aftertaste! Lastly, be sure to savor it. Reflect on your experience and pay attention to the wine's finish.
An absolute must is to correctly pair your wine with cheese! They pair well together because the opposing flavors create balance. Ready for a secret? Champagne pairs well with Brie. Pinot Grigio pairs with Parmesean. Cabernet Sauvignon goes well with aged cheddar. Rosè is always a hit with Feta. Happy pairing!
Wine tasting events are a celebration of wine, friendship and the opportunity to share the joy of discovery with others. If you also require help organizing your upcoming wine tasting event, please contact us! We will help create a memorable experience for you and your team!
Okay great bye!
