Bink Hits 800 Days In A Row

According to the 10,000 hour rule, it takes about 417 days to become a master at what you do. Talk about intention and discipline. I'm lucky if I can hit the gym three or four times a week. Then, there's Bink. She is so laser-focused and managed to accomplish an 800 day streak on Duolingo! She accomplished this streak on her own. For most adults, 800 days of anything is no small feat. I'm beyond impressed with her...and inspired!

It's amazing how much we teach our kids but in reality, look at how much they actually teach us as well. Watching her set a goal and then proceed to take the necessary steps on a daily basis has been a tremendous journey. I have been quietly watching as she reminds herself of what she needs to get done and then handles it like a little boss. Truly remarkable!

I don't mean to come off as boastful but how can I not celebrate her efforts, dedication and perserverance? That is always something to celebrate. I'm in awe of her and this inner drive she has. I encourage you to celebrate your children as much as possible. It helps them build self-esteem, social skills, and confidence.

We ditched the Duolingo green and opted for a unicorn cake

Kids deserve cakes on more than just their birthdays! Here's to celebrating all of our children and their accomplishments no matter how big or small! Afterall, a win is a win. Now go grab a cake and have some fun!
